About this tool
How the calculator works.
Most contractor websites either refuse to give pricing guidance at all ("call for a quote") or hand out wildly optimistic single numbers designed to get you on the phone. Neither is useful if you're trying to plan a project.
This calculator is built from real Middle Tennessee pricing data — BirdSong's own rates plus publicly documented market averages from HomeGuide, Angi, and HomeAdvisor. We show ranges, not single numbers, because any honest contractor will tell you that identical-looking projects can cost very different amounts depending on selections and site conditions.
The goal: give you a realistic starting point for budgeting, and make it easy to turn that estimate into a real written quote when you're ready.

How accurate is this calculator?
It's designed to give you a realistic ballpark within about 10–20% of what your actual quote will be. Final pricing depends on site conditions, exact selections, and scope — but our calculator uses Middle TN market averages and our own pricing to stay close.
Is this a binding quote?
No. Think of this as a planning tool — it's a fast way to answer "roughly what will this cost?" so you can budget. Submit your info and we'll follow up with a real, written quote based on your specific project.
Why ranges instead of one price?
Because honest contractors give ranges. Two kitchens of the same size can cost wildly different amounts depending on cabinet tier, counter choice, appliance selection, and layout changes. A single number would be misleading.
Why isn't every service on the calculator?
Some of our work (commercial HVAC, walk-in freezers, cold storage) is too custom for a useful calculator — there are too many variables that affect price. For those, call us and we'll walk through it together.
