Are mini-splits really cheaper to run than central air?
In most TN homes, yes. A modern inverter-driven mini-split can run 20–40% more efficiently than a standard central system, and because each zone runs independently you're not cooling rooms you aren't using.
What's the lifespan of an HVAC system?
12–18 years for central systems, 15–25 years for mini-splits — assuming annual maintenance. Heat pumps run a bit shorter because they work year-round. Mini-splits last longer because fewer moving parts get abused.
Do you service systems you didn't install?
Yes — any brand, any age. If we think a system is worth fixing rather than replacing, we'll tell you. We'd rather repair your existing unit than sell you a new one you don't need.
How long does a system install take?
A central system replacement usually takes 1–2 days. A single-zone mini-split is typically done in a day. Multi-zone and new-construction installs vary with complexity — we'll give you a firm schedule with the quote.
What brands do you install?
Mitsubishi and Fujitsu for mini-splits, Carrier and Trane for central systems. We can install most major brands if you have a preference.
